- Procedures are determined to minimise waste material/ components.
- Procedures are identified for maximising energy efficiency while completing the job.
- Ascertain type of recovery
- Details are obtained by visual surveillance of recovery scene.
- Information is obtained from officials at scene.
- Hazards are recognised and included in requirements for recovery.
- All activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Prepare vehicle to be recovered for tow/lift
- Vehicle is prepared for tow/lift using recognised enterprise guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Vehicle is prepared for recovery without causing damage to any component or system.
- All activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Prepare recovery vehicle for tow/lift
- Recovery vehicle is prepared using recognised enterprise guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Recovery vehicle is prepared without causing damage to any component or system.
- All activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, statutory requirements and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Operate recovery vehicle
- Vehicle/equipment is operated using recognised industry guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Lifting and loading procedures are followed.
- Vehicle is operated without causing damage to any component or system.
- Recovered vehicle is safely conveyed to agreed destination.
- All activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, and enterprise procedures/policies.
- Clean up recovery worksite
- Clean up work vehicle and maintain equipment
- Material that can be reused is collected and stored.
- Waste and scrap is removed following workplace procedure.
- Equipment and work vehicle are cleaned and inspected for serviceable condition in accordance with workplace procedures.
- Unserviceable equipment is tagged and faults identified in accordance with workplace procedures.
- Operator maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier specifications and worksite procedures.
- Tooling is maintained in accordance with workplace procedures.
